The Commercial Assessment Centre

Each year, we invite our very best Account Managers and members of the Create Teams to be considered for the next step in their career with us.

This is our commitment to growing our own talent and giving them a platform to perform, a canvas to create and the autonomy to do what they do best.

Each year, our Executive Panel look for consistency in performance, role model behaviour when it comes to our values and professional experience demonstrated which puts them head and shoulders above the rest.

Over the last four years, we have promoted 25 successful candidates into senior roles within their teams, advancing their careers and fulfilling their ambitions.  This has been no mean feat for any of them as we have increased the level of challenge and expectations every year.

This year’s nominees will already have this event in their sights as part of their Personal Best Career Aspiration Goals from the start of each year.  Working closely with their Commercial Directors, they will be stepping up at every opportunity, showing their potential and being coached to success.

Grace Hannah, our Director of People said: "We know that career development is important to our people and we love to grow our own talent. The Commercial Assessment Centre crates a chance to showcase this through a variety of challenging initiatives. We have a great success rate of people who have moved into senior roles as a result and this is down to level of coaching and development they get from their Managers and our Sales Academy."

Last year’s successful candidate, Helen Walsh, shares her experience which led to her being promoted to Account Director at Heart Yorkshire.

"The Commercial Assessment Centre last year was amazing. Whilst being incredibly challenging, it was a fantastic experience and a rare opportunity, but ideal for anyone in CCUK wanting career progression. It was a real chance to shine in front of the senior management team and show them exactly what you are capable of. The day involved interviews, presentations and team role play. It was a thoroughly intense day, but a great and rewarding one."
